Message from the School Principal
Mr. Yousef Abu Abbas
School Principal
May praise be to Allah, who has brought us together in the field of knowledge, blessed us with abundant favours, and elevated us to be the best of nations. Blessings and peace be upon our greatest teacher, our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the guide to the noblest values.
As generations pass through our beautiful institution, each one leaves a hope in our souls for a bright, imminent dawn that will shine through students armed with character and knowledge. “Rawad” is a name that resonates and echoes across horizons, and how our nation thirsts for these pioneers in all fields of life, for as the saying goes, “A pioneer never lies to his people.”
Our journey in the field of knowledge was initiated to cultivate generations who believe in their potential and latent abilities. We view each student in this institution as a deep ocean filled with treasures and pearls. This ocean needs a skilled teacher to dive into its depths, extract its hidden treasures, and present them to the nation after tireless and relentless effort. May God bless our teachers, who sacrifice everything to produce pioneering examples and trained leaders who will spread across the world and fulfil their divine duty to cultivate and inhabit the earth as commanded by Allah, the Almighty.
We will continue on this path of building generations because we believe that the creation of men is a great honour bestowed only upon the great. We are proud of every drop of sweat shed in the service of our sons, brothers, and loved ones. The moments of fatigue and hardship are eased when we remember the words of our leader and first teacher, Muhammad (peace be upon him), “The reward is proportionate to the difficulty.”
The message I wish to convey to our students this year is this: You, dear ones, stand on the threshold of the path of knowledge. Take flight, soar, and become stars that are pointed to with admiration. Meet the expectations of your parents, your teachers, and yourselves. We do not want you to walk at the end of the caravan; we want you to be pioneers at the forefront.
“He whose soul aspires to greatness will find everything he encounters beloved.”

Curriculum
Our school follows the Ministry of Education’s curriculum across all subjects and branches, supplemented by the following specialized programs:
-
Qur’an Studies:
The Islamic Education Department at the Pioneers International Academy Schools is a fundamental part of our institution. Through diverse programs, it aims to instil values, ethics, and positive attitudes related to the Qur’an and Sunnah, as well as to reinforce citizenship and cultural heritage. The academy has integrated an additional weekly Qur’an lesson into both its national and international programs from kindergarten to 10th grade. Moreover, the academy offers scholarships covering up to 100% of tuition fees for students who memorize five or more parts of the Qur’an, awarded progressively based on the level of memorization. The morning Qur’an clubs also motivate students to memorize and recite the Qur’an, master the rules of Tajweed, and participate in internal and external competitions. The department is committed to fostering a positive environment that strengthens students’ adherence to Islamic values.
-
English Language:
At the Pioneers International Academy Schools, English language instruction for students from 7th to 9th grade in the national section is based on curricula aligned with international standards. These curricula are designed to foster a love of reading in all students, enabling them to develop foundational language skills through phonological awareness lessons, which help them decode and accurately read words and vocabulary. This, in turn, aids their comprehension of both fictional and non-fictional texts that relate to real-life scenarios.
The curriculum features a variety of reading strategies that deepen students’ understanding and critical thinking about texts, transitioning them from learning to read to reading to learn. Additionally, the curriculum is rich in graphic organizers that help students analyze concepts and texts, leading them to write high-quality pieces based on what they have read and learned.
The curriculum also incorporates inquiry-based learning through essential unit questions that spark students’ motivation to research, engage in critical thinking, and participate effectively in discussions, enhancing their ability to use the language during conversations.
A comprehensive set of learning resources encourages students to step outside traditional methods and explore creative activities, interactive educational games, and electronic exercises that support learning both at school and at home with their parents, making technology a purposeful tool for learning. The curriculum is interactive and enjoyable.
-
STEAM Program:
The STEAM program provides students with integrated experiences in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, emphasizing the connections and integration among these disciplines. The program is taught in English in laboratories equipped with digital tools and is designed for students from kindergarten to 8th grade.
For 7th and 8th graders, STEAM is taught through project-based learning and integrated with science and mathematics courses
-
Turkish Language Instruction:
With technological advancements and global connectivity making the world a smaller place, the need to learn additional languages has become increasingly important. We have chosen to offer Turkish as an enrichment subject, providing students with the opportunity to learn this language in an engaging manner.
-
Computer Science:
The interactive (Hellocode) curriculum for Computer Science:
The Pioneers International Academy Schools has adopted the interactive (Hellocode) platform, which aims to teach children programming and coding skills. Children start learning by storytelling inspired by their daily lives.
The connection with (Hellocode) characters, along with innovative lessons and enjoyable exercises, creates a comprehensive learning environment that provides children with essential life skills such as problem-solving, computational and analytical thinking, creativity, and logical reasoning—all delivered in a fun and engaging way.
