Curriculum
Our school follows the Ministry of Education’s curriculum as the foundational guide across all subjects and also offers the following specialized programs:
- Quranic Studies.
- English Language.
- STEAM.
- ACMAS (Abacus Mental Arithmetic System).
- Computer Studies.
-
Quranic Studies:
The Islamic Studies Department at the Pioneers International Academy Schools is a fundamental part of our institution. Through its diverse programs, it aims to instil values, ethics, and positive attitudes related to the Quran and Sunnah, reinforcing national identity and cultural heritage. The Academy has incorporated an additional weekly Quran class into both the national and international programs from kindergarten to the tenth grade. Scholarships covering up to
100% of tuition fees are offered to students who memorize the Quran, starting from five parts, depending on the level of memorization. Morning Quranic clubs motivate students to memorize, recite, and master Tajweed rules. The department also organizes internal competitions and prepares students for active participation in external contests, fostering an environment that promotes Islamic values.
-
English Language:
The Pioneers International Academy Schools, the English language is taught to students from grades 4 to 6 within the national section, using curricula based on internationally recognized standards. These curricula are designed to foster a love of reading in all students, providing them with essential linguistic support through phonemic awareness lessons. These lessons help students decode words and read vocabulary accurately, enabling them to comprehend reading texts—both fictional and non-fictional—that reflect real-life situations.
The curricula also include diverse reading strategies that empower students to deepen their understanding and think critically about texts, transitioning from learning to read to reading to learn. Additionally, the curricula are rich in graphic organizers that assist students in analyzing concepts and texts, leading them to produce high-quality writing based on what they have read and learned.
Inquiry-based learning is a key feature of the curricula, with each unit centred around a main question that stimulates students’ motivation to research, encourages critical thinking, and enables effective dialogue, while also developing their ability to use language proficiently during conversations.
The curricula are designed with a comprehensive range of learning resources that motivate students to think creatively and move beyond conventional problem-solving methods through interactive activities, educational games, and digital exercises. These resources support learning both at school and at home with parents, making technology an integral and purposeful part of the educational process. The curriculum is both interactive and enjoyable.
-
Computer Studies:
The interactive Hellocode platform has been adopted for teaching computer science at the Pioneers International Academy Schools.
Hellocode is an electronic platform aimed at teaching children programming and coding by using storytelling inspired by daily life.
The connection with Hellocode characters, along with innovative lessons and engaging exercises, creates a comprehensive learning environment. This environment provides children with essential life skills such as problem-solving, computational thinking, creativity, and logical reasoning—all while having fun.
-
ACMAS (Abacus Mental Arithmetic System):
This academic program is designed to develop mental arithmetic skills, comprehension abilities, visual memory, imagination, analysis, and concentration, thereby opening up lifelong opportunities for students to achieve academic and practical excellence.
-
STEAM Program:
The STEAM program equips students with integrated knowledge in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, fostering connections and integration among these disciplines. The program is taught in English in laboratories equipped with digital tools and is tailored for students from preschool to eighth grade.
